On Wednesday afternoon, we had an impromptu neighborhood clean up--it was a thing of beauty! In the OP, everyone must park in the alley, but no alleys are plowed. Alley mates united, including small children with the tiniest of buckets--and by gosh our whole half of the alley was clear in a few hours. One of the teens dubbed it a 'winter block party'. Love it! I think its the best to involve kids and teens, so that we can learn that helping each other and building community is actually fun. Nice work @ChiSnowMap--a great idea!
